Known as the Cotton Annex building, at 300 12th Street SW within a block of the National Mall, this historic building was built in 1937 and was occupied by the U.S. Department of Agriculture until 2007. The 118,000 square foot six-story building occupies an 1.4 acre site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property was recently sold to a firm with plans to redevelop the historic building and adjacent parking lot.
